You'll receive a proof to approve before your portrait goes to print.

Choosing Your Photo

You don't need a professional photograph—just one or two that feel like them.  Don't worry about backgrounds or distracting details. Those can often disappear as the portrait takes shape.

Your Story Portrait includes your custom-designed artwork plus one professionally printed 11×14 portrait on fine-art paper, shipped directly to your door.

After your purchase: Return to the Story Portrait page and complete the short questionnaire at the bottom. This will help me discover the heart of the story you’d like your portrait to tell.

Then email one or two favorite photos to debydearman@mac.com. They don’t need to be professional photographs—just choose images that feel like them.

Once I have your questionnaire and photos, I’ll begin creating your Story Portrait
